I am still waiting for at least a few major updates (Moment 3, Moment 4) for Win 11. However, it seems that Microsoft is steadily moving towards Win 12, which is called "Next Valley". With this, Win 12 system requirements have also begun to emerge.

On the other hand, it is believed that Microsoft has returned to its three-year release cycle. Therefore, Next Valley or Win 12 can be announced in the second half of 2024. Apart from the release date of Win 12, one of the most curious things is the system requirements for Win 12. With Win 11, Microsoft has set strict system requirements, and several generations of old processors were not supported in the new operating system.

Win 12 system requirements are becoming clear

The latest rumors suggest that some requirements, such as the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), will remain in Win 12. Therefore, Win 12 will require TPM 2.0. In addition, it is said that Pluton, the auxiliary processor that made its debut with Ryzen 6000 mobile CPUs, will not be mandatory in Win 12. It is considered too early for Pluton. Additionally, there is expected to be a significant change in memory. According to reports, the RAM requirement in Win 12 may increase to 8 GB. A minimum of 64 GB of storage space will also remain unchanged among the requirements. Let's say for now that these are not official requirements, and system requirements may change in the future.
